Is it just me, or is it really discouraging to have artwork declined from a group? Not like a shitty little sketch being declined, but a piece of art that you worked hard on and are really proud of. A piece of art that has (in person at least) gotten tons of compliments. It kind of makes me feel like, "why even try when even my best isn't good enough." It makes me wonder, not if I'm a good artist, but of other peoples tastes. I know my art is good. I know that I will continue to do it despite what you think. But what DO you like? What is good enough for you? I think part of it comes from the fact that I don't draw things, but rather shapes.

Okay, my obsession with the Mighty Boosh has gotten to a terrible level. I can't seem to get enough of Julian Barratt and Noel Fielding. It upsets me so much that they live on the other side of the world. I wish they would come to New York, just for a week, so I could stalk them, meet them, and be through with my obsession. I fear that is the only way to fix this. Also, my need to be Noel's best friend is growing at an exponential rate. His insanity, his art, his comedy,  his essence is essential to my life. I just love him so much. Of course, the love is purely platonic considering he's almost 40....(TOO OLD!) But he could be like an uncle
